My queries are related to change of employer - 1) Can I change the employer by using simple H1B transfer to new employer or is there any other legal paper work that new employer would need? Do current employer need to keep I-140 valid for me to work for new employer? 2) If I do not care about priority date or current GC process. Then can new employer start a fresh PERM and fresh GC process for me? if yes, can new employer wait for 6-8 months or even a year before initiating the GC process because there will still be time left on my H1B? or fresh GC process should be initiated immediately? It would be a great help to get clarity on my possible options for change of employer.
